Gelephu Thromde held a promotion ceremony on 18 July 2025 to formally recognize civil servants for their dedicated service to the Tsa-Wa-Sum. Dasho Thrompon awarded promotion orders and offered Tashi Khadar to the recipients.
A total of 34 officials were promoted, comprising
• 3 Meritorious Promotions
1. Tek Bahadur Rana, Sr. Teacher I, P1, GHSS
2. Mon Kumar Rai, Sr. Teacher I, P1, GMSS
3. Kuenzang Tshering, Sr. Laboratory Asst. III, SS4, GMSS
• 11 P1 Specialist Promotions
• 20 Normal Broad-banded Promotions
The ceremony included both teaching and non-teaching staff from schools, as well as officials from the Thromde office.
Since its inception in 2017, the annual promotion ceremony has served to promote a culture of motivation, dignity, and belonging by offering in-person recognition beyond the conventional dispatch of promotion orders.
